Who we are
We are group of people passionate about turning urban green spaces into the most ecologically viable environments possible. We have built a product that aims to put the local ecosystem in the hands of those who buy our product.
Our vision informs both the purpose of the product and our production practices. We supply our materials by collecting and recycling plastic from directly within the local community. Using 3d Printing Technology, we convert this waste into durable, beautiful and functional Garden Hubs.
Every year, the average Londoner buys 175 plastic bottles - that’s one every two days. And nearly 40% will end up in landfill or the ocean.
At the same time, the UK has lost over a third of its solitary bee population since 1980.
We’re HexGardens and we transform plastic bottles collected right here in our community into fully 3D-printed, modular wildlife habitats.
Bee hotels. Bird feeders. Plant pots.
Each one is a hexagon — designed to click together and expand as your garden grows. On a windowsill. On a fence. On a wall. Anywhere.
Unlike standard garden products, our system is completely modular and locally produced- giving you the opportunity to rearrange and expand your garden ecosystem however you like.
We’re not just recycling plastic.
We’re redefining urban ecosystems.

What sets us apart is our commitment to a circular economy. We have made two homemade recycling machines (PET filament markers from used Ender 3s), designed to transform discarded plastic bottles into filament used for our products.
The rest of our product is made from virgin PLA, which comes from cornstarch. This allows us to ensure that every piece of the system is built from safe, sustainable materials.
Providing garden modules to improve local environments by protecting solitary bees and expanding personal gardening.
